When we don’t understand the full meaning of the word “accountability,” we miss out on its greater potential for our spiritual growth and development. So forget what you think you know about accountability and consider these three key points.

Being a dad is the hardest job you’ll ever have, and it doesn’t come with an instruction manual. But if we strive to live up to these four key roles of fatherhood, we’ll be headed in the right direction.

Do you feel quietly stuck in life? Are you witnessing friends around you excel in their careers or relationships? Do you feel like you're capable of more but unable to move forward? If so, chances are you are stuck living life in your comfort zone.

Time. It’s the common denominator in life. We all have it, but few of us command it.

As dads, we obviously play a critical role in shaping our kids' future. But what exactly should we be doing to help steer our kids in the right direction? It begs the age-old question: what is our purpose as fathers?

I’m old enough to remember when our society at least attempted to take responsibility for its shortcomings. Today, we rarely work together to solve problems. Instead, we just look for someone to blame. That blame is being placed squarely—and unfairly—on the shoulders of our men and young boys. 

The entire human experience revolves around relationships. Outside of our own physical and emotional health, a meaningful connection to other people enables us to thrive. Having a small group who we trust to speak wisdom into our lives helps us grow and become a better version of ourselves.

It’s a new year and many of you have no doubt made some kind of health-related goal to improve your physical fitness. If there’s a willingness to invest in our physical selves, why not mentally as well? To quote the old saying, reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body.

The New Year is upon us. It’s a time of making lists, setting goals and resolutions, and making promises to yourself and others. But men, if you’re going to do one thing in 2018, I challenge you to this: preserve your manhood.
