Tim Stroup

Tim Stroup

In this episode I catch up with a good friend of mine, Tim Stroup. Tim has been clean and sober for more than 21 years, but before that, he battled a years-long drug and alcohol addiction that nearly cost him his marriage and family.

We chat about what led him to substance abuse in the first place, his experiences with addiction, and how he ultimately overcame this dark period of his life.

Key points in this episode include:

  • The role drugs and alcohol play in a fathers’ ability to lead themselves and their families, and the impact this is having on today’s society and future generations.

  • The effects that casual consumption of drugs and alcohol have on youth, and the problems that can lead to down the road.

  • The importance of surrounding yourself with the right people.

  • How to achieve clarity when you’re surrounded by chaos.

  • The keys to long term perseverance and its generational impact.

  • Practical advice to those who might be addicted.

Thanks for listening and be sure to check out all of the subsequent episodes available. New episodes will be released bi-weekly, with the next one scheduled for Sunday, March 10th.
