What’s the greatest health threat to men today? I could make a pretty compelling argument that it’s loneliness and isolation. You don’t need to look far beyond today’s rate of anxiety, depression, and suicide among middle-aged men—many of whom are fathers—to realize something is very wrong.

Too many men are going through life alone, spread thin by obligations with little time left to spend with family. Finding time to invest in meaningful friendships with other men is very difficult and as a result, many of us let those relationships slip. But the fact is, men were made for Christian brotherhood.

Sadly, with the onset of the Coronavirus and our current global pandemic, feelings of isolation will be felt far and wide unless we make intentional efforts to stay connected to each other—especially God. When we feel cut off, we become vulnerable to Satan’s attacks. Men must recognize this, get in front of it, and fight against it.

Join me for this Gut Check episode as I unpack why men need relationships with other men, examples of how God uses other men in our lives, and ways we can develop meaningful and spiritual relationships with other men.
