Most mature and responsible men possess an innate drive to succeed. We can be driven to success by our selfish ego—simply wanting to make a name for ourselves and acquire material possessions—or we can learn to cultivate holy ambition, what my guest calls Sacred Drive.

Today, I'm talking with Vaugh Kohler. He's a writer, speaker, and former pastor. And from 2015 to 2019, he served as co-host for the MFCEO Project with Andy Frisella, one of the world's top-rated business and success podcasts. 

Throughout his work, whether in ministry or business, Vaughn has been confronted with the same question: is it okay for men to be ambitious? In other words, is it okay for a Christian man to want to be financially successful, to be in the best possible physical shape, to crush lofty goals, or to have influence in the world? 

In this episode, Vaughn unpacks his new book titled Sacred Drive, in which he talks about developing a righteous motivation to pursue our God-given potential, not just for our gain but for God's glory and the good of the world.
