Are you familiar with the song Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave? It's a fantastic song with a powerful message. Here are a few of the lyrics:

Seems like all I can see was the struggle
Haunted by ghosts that lived in my past
Bound up in shackles of all my failures
Wondering how long is this gonna last
Then You look at this prisoner and say to me "son
Stop fighting a fight that's already been won"

I am redeemed, You set me free
So I'll shake off theses heavy chains
And wipe away every stain now I'm not who I used to be
I am redeemed I'm redeemed

My guest today is Jon Nicolas, and for him, these lyrics are real life. Jon came from a broken home. He was abused at a young age, neglected in his youth, and grew up not knowing what it was like to be loved. As a result, he headed down the wrong path for much of his life.

In this interview, you'll hear about Jon's testimony, which you can read all about in the book Jesus Changed Our Lives—Stories From the Heart to Enrich Your Faith, which features Jon as well as seventeen other individuals and their stories of faith. Jon also shares how Christ continues to work in his life through career changes, finding true love, and forgiving those who hurt him.

Jon has also become involved with The First Hour for Men, a 30-day study guide designed to train men to become everything God intended them to be—Godly men, fathers, and leaders equipped to spread the message of Jesus Christ throughout the world. There's no question that Jon is the epitome of what it looks like to unleash their inner lion and live on fire for Jesus. You don't want to miss this episode!
