It's not a matter of if, but when life dishes out difficult seasons or situations. Often, it can feel like we're facing impossible odds. But when we have God on our side, we can do all things.

My guest today has experienced his share of difficulties. Kris Paronto—affectionately known as "Tanto" in some circles—is a former Army Ranger and private security contractor. He was part of the CIA annex security team that responded to the terrorist attack on the U.S. Special Mission in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012. During that incident, he and the men he served with helped save over 20 lives while fighting terrorists for more than 13 hours. You can learn more about their heroic actions in the book and the movie titled 13 Hours.

In our conversation, Kris unpacks the struggles he had during his military career, the impact his career had on his family, the Benghazi attack, subsequent personal struggles, and how his faith has helped him overcome it all.
