Jordan Northrup

Jordan Northrup

This episode is part one of a two-part interview with Major Jordan Northrup, a 17-year veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Jordan joined the Marines after the terror attacks of September 11th and during his career has served three combat tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He has led men through the hells of urban combat, conducting over 200 combat missions and survived not one, but two close calls with IEDs.

In part two of this interview, Jordan details his battle with alcohol abuse, which he covers in detail in his book, The War Inside—Finding Victory Over Alcohol. But in this episode, Jordan talks about his journey becoming a Marine and how he eventually became an officer. He also touches on lessons in leadership:

  • The value of hard work

  • Making the right choices, no matter what

  • Servant leadership

  • And building resilience to face life's toughest challenges

These are lessons that every man out there should take to heart.
